[sci.space.shuttle] viewing shuttle launches

Really, the view of a launch from Titusville, Fla. is just about as good as getting onto the Space Center
grounds. I've seen all of the launches, save the last , from both Titusville and the Cape. You might get a
few miles closer, but there will be a higher chance of having the view obstructed. Also, when others post
about bad traffic, they mean it! Titusville sometimes swells from 50000 to 1,000,000 (all of whom are parked
along a single road!!!) Just make your way to U.S. 1, which runs parallel with the Indian River. It offers
a lot of viewing spots. Going onto the Cape is more trouble than it's worth. It sometimes takes hours just
to get back to mainland Florida. Either way, you'll have a great view.
