Sarah Keegan Headquarters, Washington, D.C. May 1, 1989 LAUNCH ADVISORY: NEW DATE SET FOR STS-30 NASA managers today decided to proceed toward a possible launch of STS-30 no earlier than Thursday, May 4, 1989, at 1:48 p.m. EDT (with a 64-minute window that day) pending completion of testing and analysis to understand clearly the problems encountered during Friday's launch attempt. This plan is optimistic, and program officials will continue to meet and assess progress toward launch. The pre-launch briefing the day before launch (time and participants to be announced) will contain a summary of the corrective measures taken and the analysis performed since Friday's scrub.
