[sci.space.shuttle] Launch-on-time capability

Have NASA ever managed to run cleanly through the countdown sequence and
launch a shuttle mission at the first attempt? The Magellan mission nearly
qualified, but ran into trouble about 1hr:30 before launch, and finally aborted
at T - 31sec.

I don't remember *any* clean launches, but then again, we get virtually no
media coverage over here :-(

Fortunately, the two launches I attended (STS-7, and 61-B) went up without
any problems. STS-7 was supposed to be the first landing at KSC and many
people stayed in Orlando for the week but it ultimately did not land there.
