The space shuttle mission now underway (as of Wednesday) has been predicted to last until Sunday. Somewhere else I read that one of the better meteor showers will peak on Saturday morning just before dawn. I realize that there is a LOT of space up there at the orbit of the shuttle, but are the risks increased that the shuttle would be hit by a meteor much larger than the 'micrometeors' that most spacecraft are subject to? (much larger meaning 1/2-1 cm as opposed to dust size) - tom ============================================================================== Internet: mvac23!thomas@udel.edu | Why wait for something or | to happen, when, by mvac23%thomas@udel.edu | exercising the rights uucp: {ucbvax,mcvax,psuvax1,uunet}!udel!mvac23!thomas| you have, you can MAKE Location: Newark, DE, USA | it happen? ==============================================================================
