KSC SPACE SHUTTLE PROCESSING REPORT - WEDNESDAY, JULY 19, 1989

                  STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - LAUNCH PAD 39-B

The helium signature leak test of the main propulsion system
picked back up last night and is continuing today. Yesterday, the
STS-28 countdown demonstration test was successfully completed at
          about 11 a.m.

Preparations are underway for loading hypergolic propellants
into Columbia's onboard storage tanks. Monomethylhydrazine and
nitrogen tetroxide will be loaded in the tanks for the reaction
control system and the orbital maneuvering system pods. In
addition, hydrazine will be loaded into the orbiter's auxiliary
power units and the boosters' hydraulic power units. Actual flow
is scheduled to begin tomorrow night and will continue
          through Friday.

                      STS-34 - ATLANTIS (OV 104) - OPF BAY 2

Preparations are underway to fill and bleed the hydraulic
system. After fill and bleed operations, the nose wheel steering
system will be checked out, the brake anti-skid system will be
tested and a test of the orbiter's aerosurfaces is planned.
Technicians are continuing to install heat shields around the
three main engines. Preparations are underway to install a
getaway special canister beam in Atlantis' payload bay this week.

                     STS-33 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - OPF BAY 1

Power up operations and systems testing are planned today.
The left hand radiators were deployed to allow installation of
          thermal control blankets.

                       STS-34 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB/RPSF

The right forward segment was lifted into the high bay and
being prepared for mate. Stacking of the right forward assembly
is scheduled to occur the end of the week.
