[sci.space.shuttle] Thanks to NASA and JPL

BRIDGE@rcgl1.eng.ohio-state.edu (JOHN BRIDGE) (08/25/89)

Thanks to the people at NASA and JPL who made it possible for
us to share the excitment and adventure of the Voyager Neptune
encounter. Twice in our lifetime we have been permitted to share
with the principal investigators the excitment of real time coverage
of the two most significant exploration expeditions in human history.
The people at NASA, JPL, PBS and affiliated organizations deserve
a medal or at least a raise for recognizing how important this
experience has been for us armchair space explorers. Thanks again.
                            John

[ Followups directed to sci.space as this is not a shuttle issue. ]

Sentimental as John Bridge's proposal sounds, I think he is 100% right.
The Voyager team deserve medals at the White House, including posthumous
ones for the two deceased PI's. Should we call the WH feedback number
and tell them this? If so what is it? :-)
