I am planning a visit to the Kennedy Space Center early November, and I would be very interested in any information about the best times to go, things to see/not see from anyone who has already been. Please email me, and I will summarise here for those who are interested. I have various pamphlets and materials concerning KSC, and the SPACEPORT. The visitor's area is the SPACEPORT, and it has several guided tours available to the public. These are escorted tours. There are no longer any "drive through" tours for free access by the public on KSC anymore. Those went the way of the dodo bird some time ago. I'll try to hand enter the spaceport text via national SPACE echo,<fido>, or try to put it up on my bbs <the NASA Aerospace Information Reprography> at 407-774-7371. And you can bet that this will also be the case at JSC once the new visitors center opens (which won't be for some time, since they haven't even broken ground for it yet).
