Doug Myhre seems concerned about American Hi-Tech getting in the wrong hands: > Wonder what the possibility of the Soviets using their shuttle down the > line to retrieve one of our spy satellites for it's technology. Well, this assumes there was an American Shuttle that could take up the satellite to begin with :-) How about this one? The soviets sells boosterpower (Energia and the like) for Western currency. The customers seals their cargo to protect themselves against illicit snooping. Should the american space program continue sitting in the wheelchair and sniffing for the good old days (Apollo,Voyager) I can indeed imagine Pentagon using cheap, reliable 'Commie-transports' to LEO for their tincans at the turn of the century :-) :-) ============================================================================ Leif Sterner
