KSC SPACE SHUTTLE PROCESSING REPORT - MONDAY, NOV. 13, 1989

                     STS-33 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - PAD 39-B

Pre-launch activities completed this weekend included a hot
fire of the solid rocket booster hydraulic power units, final
ordnance operations, pressurizing the orbital maneuvering system
and reaction control system tanks for flight and loading storage
tanks on the launch tower with liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen
          propellants.

Closeouts of the aft compartment for flight will be resumed
today. Purges of the external tank are scheduled today and final
ordnance operations are planned to start Tuesday evening.

Last Friday, checks of the regulators for the reaction
control system were completed and the extravehicular mobility
          units, or spacesuits, were installed.

On Friday, the launch countdown is scheduled to begin at 4
p.m. EST and the STS-33 flight crew will be arriving. Launch of
mission STS-33 is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 20 during a four-
hour launch period that begins at 6:30 p.m. EST.

                     STS-36 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 1

Engines 2 and 3 were removed this weekend and removal of
engine 1 is underway today. The engines will undergo post-flight
checks in the VAB engine shop and several components will be
replaced prior to their reinstallation. Deservicing of residual
hypergolic propellants is planned this week. Checks of the main
propulsion system and communications system are scheduled this
          week.

                     STS-32 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OPF BAY 2

The payload bay doors were closed on Friday. Closeouts of
the vehicle for the move to the Vehicle Assembly Building are
underway. The landing gear struts are being pressurized for
flight today. Weight and center of gravity operations are planned
for tomorrow. The orbiter transporter will be used to transfer
the orbiter from the OPF to the Vehicle Assembly Building at
          12:01 a.m. November 16.

                 STS-32 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS/EXTERNAL TANK - VAB

Two hydraulic power units, one on each booster, were
replaced this weekend. Those two units came from the same lot
with the cracked housings and the replacement was a precaution.
There are two HPUs on each booster which provide power to gimbal
the nozzles in flight. Preparations for orbiter mate are
          underway.

STS-36 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB

Saturday, the left aft center segment was mated. The left
forward center was transferred to the VAB and stacking
          preparations are underway.

The right aft booster is being built up in the Rotation
          Processing and Surge Facility.
