I am likely to have some free time on my hands (ie. between jobs) in December and January and thought it would be fun to observe a shuttle launch, if there is one. Does anybody out there know whether there are any launches scheduled between now and the middle of January? While we're on the subject, where exactly is it that the unwashed masses (ie. those without connections in the press or government) gather for these events? I seem to recall that there's some sort of park in the Cape Canaveral area where you can camp and watch the launch.
