                 KSC SHUTTLE STATUS REPORT - TUESDAY, NOV. 28, 1989

                       STS- 32 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - PAD 39-A

               First motion of Columbia out to Launch Pad 39-A came at 2:32
          a.m. EST today after last minute closeout work was completed.  The
          Mobile Launcher Platform with the STS-32 "stack" was hard down at the
          pad at 9:32 a.m.

 		
               Today, the Rotating Service Structure will be positioned around
          the orbiter, connections between the pad and vehicle will
          commence and preparations for loading the Syncom satellite into
          Columbia's payload bay will begin. Actual installation of the
          payload is planned for Thursday.

               The Countdown Demonstration Test will begin Thursday morning
          at the T minus 24 hour mark leading up to a simulated ignition of
          the main engines at 11 a.m. Friday. The STS-32 flight crew
          arrived at KSC yesterday evening for the pad rollout and for the
          practice countdown.


                       STS-36 - ATLANTIS (OV 104) - OPF BAY 1

               Installation of the main landing gear wheels and tires is
          underway today.  Operations scheduled this week include leak and
          functional checks of the auxiliary power units and waste
          containment system. Also planned is a series of activities involving 
          the hydraulic system.  These include filling and bleeding
          the system, checks of the nose wheel steering system, a brake
          anti-skid test and checks of the aerosurfaces.


                        STS-33 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - DRYDEN

               Discovery landed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. on runway
          4 at 7:31 p.m. EST yesterday ending the STS-33 mission.
          Turnaround operations are ongoing to prepare Discovery for the
          return trip back to KSC this weekend. Post-flight inspections are
          scheduled today. Initial tile inspections indicate minimal
          damage.


                         STS-36 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB

               The right aft booster was transferred to the VAB yesterday
          and stacking operations are in work. The left forward segment is
          scheduled to be stacked later this week.
