                KSC SHUTTLE STATUS REPORT - WEDNESDAY, NOV. 29, 1989

                       STS- 32 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - PAD 39-A

               The Rotating Service Structure was positioned around the
          orbiter yesterday and connections between the pad and vehicle are
          underway. Power up is planned for this afternoon to be followed
          by opening of the payload bay doors. Installation of the Syncom
          satellite into Columbia's payload bay is scheduled for Friday
          afternoon.

               The Countdown Demonstration Test will begin Thursday morning
          at the T minus 24 hour mark leading up to a simulated ignition of
          the main engines at 11 a.m. Friday. The STS-32 flight crew
          members are scheduled to receive orientation training today in
          the M113 tracked vehicles at the Shuttle Landing Facility.
          Commander Dan Brandenstein and Pilot James Wetherbee will fly in
          the Shuttle Training Aircraft in their partial pressure suits.


                       STS-36 - ATLANTIS (OV 104) - OPF BAY 1

               Operations scheduled this week include leak and functional
          checks of the auxiliary power units and waste containment system.
          Also a series of activities involving use of the hydraulic system
          are planned including filling and bleeding the system, checks of
          the nose wheel steering system, a brake anti-skid test and checks
          of the aerosurfaces.


                        STS-33 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - DRYDEN

               Turnaround operations are ongoing to prepare Discovery for
          the return trip back to KSC this weekend. Preparations are
          underway to offload liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen propellants
          and installation of ferry flight fittings has begun.

                         STS-36 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB

               The right aft booster was transferred to the VAB yesterday
          and stacking operations are in work. The left forward segment is
          scheduled to be stacked later this week.
