[sci.space.shuttle] Slinky in space

lmm@cci632.UUCP (Lance Michel) (12/10/89)

Hopefully someone can answer a qustion that came up regarding a shuttle flight
which took place a while back...

Apparently the crew brought several toys and misc. articles with them to see
how they worked in low gravity.

What happened with the "Slinky" ?
How was it affected ? etc...

I saw the film of the "slinky" in action. Its coils compressed along its
length in an oscillating fashion.
