This is not a real response to the posting about Slinky's in Space, but I'm also interested in the effects of microgravity. I am a systems design student at the University of Waterloo. For our workshop project, we are designing microgravity experiments to go on shuttle flights, or the KC-135 parabolic-flight aircraft. Does anybody have a pet microgravity experiment that they would like to see carried out? We are just starting, and we are looking for ideas. We hope to develop it enough so that we can apply for a seat on the KC-135. Any ideas would be appreciated. It would be great if you could also give us some references to follow up on.
