-----------------------------------------------------------------
STS-35 -- Columbia (OV 102) - OPF Bay 2
Rollover of the orbiter Columbia to the Vehicle Assembly
Building is targeted for early Thursday morning. The special tool
needed to perform final borescope measurements and inspections on
the external tank 17-inch disconnect has arrived. These
procedures are currently underway as eleventh hour preparations
for the move to the VAB continue.
The crew hatch was closed yesterday and the strongbacks have
been taken off the payload bay doors. Today, workers will install
the aft compartment doors and transfer the orbiter transporter to
the Orbiter Processing Facility for mating operations with
Columbia.
STS-38 -- Atlantis (OV 104) - Launch Pad 39-A
Post tanking operations continue at Pad A and preparations
for hypergolic deservicing of the OMS/RCS system are currently
underway. Call to stations for the operation is set for 4:00 p.m.
today and the pad will be cleared beginning at mid-night tonight.
Hypergolic deservicing is expected to take approximately 24 hours
to complete. Meanwhile, engineers continue their preparations to
remove APU number three. Removal of the auxiliary power unit is
scheduled for Thursday.
Rollback of Atlantis to the Vehicle Assembly Building is
based on Columbia's readiness for rollout to pad A. Rollback is
currently targeted for Wednesday August 8.
STS-41 -- Discovery (OV 103) - OPF Bay 1
Yesterday, the OMS/RCS redundant electrical circuit
verification tests were conducted. Work scheduled for today
includes the right hand OMS pod interface verification test,
water spray boiler servicing, and main propulsion system decay
checks.
STS-41 -- ET/SRB - VAB High Bay 1
Movement of the external tank from the storage cell in the
