NASA SPACE FLIGHT STATUS BRIEFING SET FOR SEPTEMBER 20


     A press briefing to discuss the status of the Space Shuttle 
program and preparations for the October launch of STS-41 will be 
held from 3 to 4 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Sept. 20, 1990.  The 
briefing will be held in the 6th Floor Auditorium at NASA 
Headquarters, 400 Maryland Ave, S.W., Washington, D.C. 

     Participating in the briefing will be Associate 
Administrator for Space Flight Dr. William B. Lenoir and Robert 
Crippen, Director, Space Shuttle.

     The briefing will be carried live on NASA Select television, 
Satcom F2R, Transponder 13, C-band, 72 degrees West Longitude, 
frequency 3960.0 MHz and audio 6.8 MHz, with two-way question and 
answer capability.
