There is a good article in the Oct/Nov 1990 issue of Air & space Smithsonian about Buzz Aldrin's concept for a Mars Transit System. It would consist of "taxis" and cyclers for transportation between earth orbit and mars orbit and Mars orbit to Mars. I have seen similar designs elsewhere but this is a very accessible for those who haven't. It is worth the read.

The discussions about Aldrin's Mars concept were discussed in depth at the first annual 1990 Australian Space Deevelopment Confereence earlier this year (in August) at which Buzz was in attendance. I beelieve he calls it the 'StarCraft Enterprises.'. The 1990 ASDC was run by NSS in Australia, BTW. (ie NSSA). Luke.
