Probably a much-asked/much-answered question, BUT...

How can I view GIF files under DOS?

There are several GIF viewers available via FTP from simtel at White Sands
Missle Range. All of their software can also be found at wuarchive.wustl.edu.
The two main viewers I know about are cshow from CompuServe and VUIMAGE.
Look for the freequently asked questions list on comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d
to find out how to get them.
