* Removal of debris shields
* Preparations for receiving payload at pad B Wednesday morning
WORK COMPLETED:
* Liquid oxygen monoball electrical connections
* Orbiter system checks
* Hazardous gas sample line verifications
WORK SCHEDULED:
* Vehicle frequency response test Wednesday
* Payload installation into Payload Changeout Room Wednesday
* Rollout to pad 39-B targeted for early Friday morning
STS-39/DoD - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB HB 1
LAUNCH -- LATE APRIL, EARLY MAY
WORK IN PROGRESS:
* Installation of aft access doors
* Sling lift and build up for demate scheduled to begin late
this afternoon
WORK COMPLETED:
* Electrical monoball connections and T-0 umbilical demate
operations
WORK SCHEDULED:
* Demate scheduled for late Tuesday afternoon
* Replace flight nose wheel tire with rollover wheel tire in
transfer aisle
* Rollover to Orbiter Processing Facility Thursday morning
* Replace ET door hinge mechanism with one from Endeavour once
in the Orbiter Processing Facility
STS-40/SPACELAB LIFE SCIENCES 1 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OPF BAY 1
LAUNCH - MAY
WORK IN PROGRESS:
* Water Spray boiler servicing
* Auxiliary power unit leak and functional tests
* KU band testing
WORK COMPLETED:
* Auxiliary power unit number 2 installation
* External tank umbilical door drive mechanism removed and
shipped to Rockwell plant in California Saturday.
* Freon loop reservicing operations
WORK SCHEDULED:
* OMS/FRCS deservicing operations
* Solid rocket booster stacking operations in VAB following
STS-37 rollout operations
