[sci.space.shuttle] Question

wo04+@andrew.cmu.edu (William F. O'Dell) (03/14/91)

I'm kind of new here, so I don't know if this is appropriate or not.

I'm going to Cape Canaveral (tour thing) in the last week in March. Does
anyone know if they will be closing things off in light of the
preeminent launch.

Thanks
Furman

Launch time is the best time to take a tour.
Yes, a large safety zone is established for a few hours, I am not
sure if this includes the KSC visitors center.
But if you get a VIP pass from KSC Public Affairs ( try and show
a relationship to your studies, or that you are an amateur or
professional journalist) then you can watch the launch from
the visitors area on the Causeway.
If you get full PRESS credentials (bona fide professional
journalist or senior aerospace representative, etc) then you
can get a press pass to go to the special press area.
