                              Conditions expected on Tuesday, 4/23/91

          Synopsis:  A cold front will be located in the western Gulf of
          Mexico bringing Southwesterly winds.  Moisture flowing over land
          from the Gulf will create the possibility of low cloud ceilings.


          At 7:05 a.m. on Tuesday morning conditions are forecast to be:

          Clouds:       800 to  1,000 broken stratus
                     10,000 to 11,000 scattered altocumulus
                     28,000 to 31,000 scattered cirrus

          Visibility: 7+ miles

          Wind - Pad 39A: SW at 10-15 knots

          Temperature:  76 degrees

          Dewpoint:     71 degrees

          Humidity:     84%

          Precipitation: None expected


          Probability of launch weather criteria violation at the beginning
          of the launch period: 50%

          Probability of launch weather criteria violation over the
          duration of the launch period: 30%

          Probability of tanking constraint violation: 5%

          Chance of violation at launch time on Wednesday:  50%
