   KSC SHUTTLE STATUS  -  MONDAY, JUNE 10, 1991  -- 10:00 a.m.

         STS-40/SLS-1  -  COLUMBIA (OV 102)  -  ON ORBIT

WORK IN PROGRESS:
*  Solid Rocket Boosters cleaning and preparations for shipping
   operations at Hanger AF.
*  Post launch operations at pad 39-B.
*  Move mobile launcher platform to VAB high bay 3 (Monday)

WORK SCHEDULED:
*  Columbia is currently scheduled to land at Edwards Air Force
   Base, Calif. at 11:51 a.m. EDT, Friday, June 14.

        STS-43/TDRS-E  - ATLANTIS (OV 104)  -  OPF Bay 2
                       LAUNCH JULY\AUGUST

WORK IN PROGRESS:
*  Main engine heat shield installation
*  Thermal protection system tile work
*  Environmental Control and Life Support System servicing
*  Preparations for final payload bay cleaning
*  Preparations for orbiter hydraulic operations
*  Orbiter ordnance installation and checks
*  Main landing gear functional tests

WORK COMPLETED:
*  Replacement of main propulsion system helium tank number 4
*  Main engine and main propulsion system checks
*  Payload integration and verification test
*  Crew equipment interface test

WORK SCHEDULED:
*  SSME interface leak checks
*  Orbiter hydraulic operations (Tuesday)
*  Final Ku-band tests

        STS-48/UARS  --  DISCOVERY (OV 103)  -  OPF BAY 1
                    LAUNCH SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

WORK IN PROGRESS:
*  Water Spray Boiler leak and functional tests
*  Main propulsion system and OMS pod system checks
*  S-Band antenna systems checks

WORK SCHEDULED:
*  Main engine controller checkouts
*  Fuel cell systems checks (6/12)

WORK COMPLETED:
*  Payload bay door and door seal tests to support possible EVA
   on Columbia.
*  TACAN system checks

       STS-49  --  ENDEAVOUR (0V 105)  --  VAB High Bay 2

WORK IN PROGRESS:
*  17 inch disconnect installation and checks
*  Main propulsion system leak checks
*  Thermal Protection System work
*  Environmental Control Life Support system checks
*  Removal of 2 inch liquid hydrogen line

WORK COMPLETED:
*  Removal of 4 inch liquid hydrogen line


 STS-43 EXTERNAL TANK/SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS  --  VAB High Bay 1

WORK IN PROGRESS:
*  Electrical mates and checkouts
*  Replacement of lower strut and associated firing line cable
