           KSC SHUTTLE STATUS REPORT FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 1991 - 10 AM


                    STS-43/TDRS-E - ATLANTIS (OV 104) -  PAD 39-A

          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          - Installation of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite into  At-
          lantis' payload bay.
          - Making connections between the launch pad and the vehicle.
          -  Connections  of  forward reaction control system quick discon-
          nects in preparation for leak checks.
          - Calibrations of the inertial measurement units.

          WORK COMPLETED:
          - Rotating service structure in place around the vehicle at 12:25
          p.m. following yesterday's rollout.
          - Power up at 8 p.m. last night.
          - Established access to the aft compartment.
          - Payload bay doors opened at midnight.

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          - Helium signature leak test of the main  propulsion  system  and
          three main engines Friday.
          - Payload to orbiter interface verification tests Saturday.
          - Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test July 2-3.

                    STS-48/UARS - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - OPF BAY 1

          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          -  Verification  of  the  orbital  maneuvering  system electrical
          redundancy capability.
          - Servicing of the potable water.
          - Repair of the payload bay bulb seal.
          - Leak and functional tests of the auxiliary power units.
          - Thermal protection system operations.
          - Replacement of the no. 3 Tacan antenna.

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          - Installation of the  three  Shuttle  main  engines  Friday  and
          Saturday.

                    STS-40/SLS-1 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OPF BAY 2

          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          - Opening of the payload bay doors.
          - Removal of the Spacelab Life Sciences module.
          - Payload bay door bulb seal inspections.
          - Removal of ferry flight kit hardware.
          -  Installation  of  platforms for access to various parts of the
          vehicle.


          WORK COMPLETED:
          - Removal of tail cone.
          - Preliminary inspections inside the Spacelab module.

          WORK SCHEDULED:
          - Offloading of residuals from the auxiliary power units.


               STS-49/INTELSAT RESCUE - ENDEAVOUR (OV 105) - VAB HB 2

          WORK IN PROGRESS:
          - Brazing water lines into the environmental control life support
          system.
          - Mounting the external tank umbilical door drive mechanism.
          - Installation of ammonia boiler tubes.
          - Installation of snaps and buttons for thermal control blankets.
          - Offloading of the right orbital maneuvering  system  pod  which
          just arrived at KSC from the manufacturer.
