[sci.math.symbolic] PD Computer Algebra program needed

phd11@seq1.keele.ac.uk (Tony McDonald) (10/08/90)

Someone here is planning on running a calculus course on a network
of mac ci's and se30's that we have here.

The only requirements are that differentiation and (some) integration
are performed, ie no Mathematica/Maple capabilities.

I seem to remember that Milo (the PD version, not the commercial one)
had some rudimentary calculus functions, but when we ran it on some
of the new hardware (Mac 2's etc), it died a horrible death, is this
still true?

I know its a long shot, but does anyone out there know of any systems
that may fit the bill?

Thanks for your time. Best to e-mail me, and if there is enough
response I'll summarize to the net (uurk!)
