[comp.databases] dbase III on unix

doug@wapsyvax.UUCP (04/29/87)

I would like to know if dbase III (Ashton-Tate)
is available on a Unix-system (Xenix or Ultrix or other)?
This is one of those sticky situations where a lot of applications
have been developed on a pc and it is desirable to keep the user/data
interface consistant across machines at least for the time being.
Eventually things will be re-done in a more appropriate data base on
the Unix system. Does such a variant of dbase exist?

FoxBase+ is supposed to be a dBase III+ clone. I haven't had anything to do
with it. I think Blue Sky Industries have it ... I could be wrong there though!
