Read a review on this album recently where the reviewer said this album is indeed bad to the bone, as in baaaaadd! This band plays with more fervor and emotion than Journey and all it's clones put together. George and his boys have always played some strong blues, and his slide guitar has generally been just this side of sonic, but this time out he's outdid himself. His guitar work literally screams oof the grooves and he's added a gent named Carter, who plays a tremendous sax. When the two of them start trading off on one of the blues or straight ahead rock and rollers numbers it's literally candy to the ears. Thorogood named this backup band perfectly because they absolutely destroy you. As you might be able to tell, I was impressed with this album. What's even more impressive is that the normally sedate radio stations in Indy are playing it! That should'nt last long as this album along with many others not heard around here, will be replaced with the general top 40 sludge the audience raves for. It's a sin more music with the power and feel of this genre does'nt get the airtime it deserves. The age old adage, "the masses are asses", will hold true long after I'm listening to recorded music. (Sorry about the soapbox treatment, sometimes I get carried away) Tim Connolly inuxc!tconn BTL-Indianapolis
