[comp.databases] Wanted: Source for Storage Structure Organized on Multiple Keys

  I am looking for source code or the algorithm for a storage structure that
  can be organized on multiple keys.  Perferred qualities include
 
     . PASCAL or C source code
     . General, compact, commented, and readable (am I asking too much?)
     . ability to handle duplicate keys
     . memory or file based

  I am looking for an alternative to the extremely poor RMS ISAM on the
  VMS operating system.
