Relational Database Support
There is a job opening in HP Cupertino Data Management Technical
Support for a relational database support engineer. The product is HP SQL
which runs under HP-UX on HP 9000s.
Responsibilites:
Problem resolution; escalation site management; provide onsite
assistance when necessary; perform marketing review on Service Requests;
provide consulting to customers for special deals; ensure supportability is
built into the product during product design; help teach an internals and
troubleshooting course.
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
Minimum BSCS (or equivalent combination of
experience and education).
MUST: 1+ years UN*X experience; ability to deal effectively with short term
crisis situations; ability to program in high level languages; Strong
verbal and written skills.
DESIRED: Experience as a support engineer; relational database experience;
understanding of factory/field relations.
