HELP!!! Does anyone out there know how to set DBMENU correctly in Informix SQL so that I can do: isql -u instead of isql database -u main Or am I totally mistaken about the use of DBMENU??? No, you have the idea behind DBMENU correct. What you need to do is set DBMENU to the first menu you want to run. Now, if that value happens to be 'main', you are in luck, since that is the *default* value (i.e., if you don't specify a menu name, 'main' is what User_menu will look for. Anyway, from there simply type: isql databasename -ur at shell level and presto! you will be running your usermenu. Now, what could be easier (;-). (actually, I think you pretty much had it right - you just left out the 'r' after the '-u' -- that stands for 'User_menu Run') Must dash - Dave -- Disclaimer: The opinions expresses herein are by no means those of Informix Software.
