/ wdl1:comp.databases / tkevans@fallst.UUCP (Tim Evans) / 7:05 pm Aug 11, 1988 / The Unify (tm) RDBMS has a backup utility called 'BUDB'. Does anyone know how to change the size of the backup device which BUDB knows about? (That is, if you're using a tape or floppy, BUDB knows when it reaches its capacity and asks you to swap.) I want to use a separate file system on the hard disk as the backup device (then send the data file over our LAN to another machine as insurance), AND I want to run BUDB via 'cron' so it'll back itself up overnight. Everything works fine now, except that when the default device size is exceeded, everything stops while BUDB waits for someone to press RETURN. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. -- ...!{rutgers|ames|uunet}!mimsy!aplcen!wb3ffv!fallst!tkevans ...!attmail!fallst!tkevans 2201 Brookhaven Court, Fallston, MD 21047 (301) 965-3286 ----------
