I've seen a number of database products come out that have had natural language front ends--one being Q&A. These kinds of programs interest me, inasmuch as I've done some natural language programming myself, and am thinking about business opportunities. I'd like to hear what people think about this kind of commercial application. This includes comments on the general issues, like feasibility and how useful such a system is, as well as comments on specific implementations. One comment of my own to start: It seems to me that the natural language interfaces for databases out there haven't done very well.
