[I hope this is the correct newsgroup for this; if not, I apologise; I have already tried uk.general to no avail ] I am looking for a full reference to a paper; it was referenced in "Extendible Hashing -- A Fast Access Method for Dynamic Files", Fagin et al, ACM Transactions on Database Systems, Vol. 4, No. 3, Sept 79 as follows : Carter, J.L., and Wegman, M., "Universal classes of hash functions", Res Rep RC 6687, IBM T.J. Watson Res Ctr, Yorktown Heights, N.Y., 1977, to appear in J. Comptr. Syst. Sci. Can anybody e-mail me a full reference to the published paper?
