[comp.databases] SQL references.

dale@dad.UUCP (Dale L. Thomas) (10/06/88)

If this went out twice I appologize.

I am looking for advanced references to SQL. Our next project will be
done using Oracle/SQL in a Sys V environment. Any pointers to advanced
books on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Please respond via
Email. Thanks in advance.

Date was written maky "A Guide to ..." including one on Oracle. They're
all practically the same, which he cheerfully admits, but each it aimed
at a specific version, e.g. DB2, Oracle, or ANSI SQL. You can probably
find one that talks specifically about Oracle.

I just picked up the following book at the International Oracle Users
Group booth at the Oracle 1988 International User Week:

"SQL, the quiet revolution" - printed by Oracle and Copyrighted by
ORCE Systems Software B.V., cost = $8.
