I have a client who is considering farming a fairly large product out to Oracle's product developers for coding. The product is relatively time critical (i.e. deadlines need to be met). I have heard from one individual who said that Oracle's consultants normally ran behind schedule. Is this or is this not the case (please document it if possible)? In addition, I would like to know of any problems that anyone has had with the quality of the product, responsiveness of any and all staff (especially consultants) at Oracle. One of the most important things is confidentiality. Does Oracle's staff treat the source code (that they have written for you) as your confidential, proprietary property? If there have been breaches of this confidentiality, how serious were they (please document if possible). I would rather receive email on this subject. I will be happy to re-post my collective findings (keeping contributors confidential if it is so desired). Thanks for the help. ----- R. Allen Gwinn, Jr., Vice President, Engineering.
