I've looked at quite a few databases as candidates for inclusion in a new product, and the one that seems the most technically appealing is Empress. Prior to my looking at it, I hadn't heard it mentioned very often and I'm curious about what experiences others have had with it. I'd appreciate any comments you'd share about your experiences, good or bad, with Empress. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill Mitchell whm@sunquest.com Sunquest Information Systems sunquest!whm@arizona.edu Tucson, AZ {arizona, uunet}!sunquest!whm 602-885-7700

Bill, do you have any documentation regarding the pro's and con's of the databases that you have looked at? We have been using Ingres for a prototype but find it has some "don't likes". Some of us would be interested if you could post it. Dave
