>Dear Mailing List, > > I am looking for information about a database called "Postgres"! >information like: > > Where do you get it from? > how much? > license requirements? > source avail? > anything else you know? > > Postgres is available by contacting me (wensel@postgres.berkeley.edu or 415-642-4662). Right now we have a limited number of sites that are using our "beta" version. The official first version will be available shortly, either by FTP or purchasing a tape from us for a small handling fee. POSTGRES currently runs on Sun Workstations with at least 8 megabytes of memory running Sun OS 3.4 or 3.5 with shared segments compiled into the kernel. It also requires Franz Lisp Opus 43 and at least 20 megabytes of disk space to hold source, binaries, and user databases. If you want me more details, please contact me. - Sharon Wensel
