My favorite surf music album was the majority of the soundtrack for
the original release of the surf movie classic 'Five Summer Stories'.
I believe the album was called 'Five Summer Stories' and the group
was a San Diego band called... Honk.

Now, if I could just find a copy of the album in good condition,
or at least a tape...

p.s. my favorite cut, within the context of the movie, is the one which
goes along with the slow motion footage of Jerry Lopez (correct name?).

I agree that some of the best surfmusic to come out
of Southern California is by a group named Honk.
They actually originate from Laguna Beach, California,
which is inbetween Newport Beach and San Clemente.
They have cut the Five Summer Stories album
and at least one other that I am aware of. As I recall
they were on a pretty obscure label (I don't remember the name).
My guess is that the albums will be hard to come by.
I have a tape of a few of their cuts. A trip to Laguna Beach
may be the only way to get the albums.
