Hi. I'm trying to install the developer's version of oracle 5.1 on a 3B2/400 running SYSV 3.1 version 2. With WIN/TCP Apparently the orastat program fails with bad system call - core dumped. I have the IPC utilities installed and I'm just taking the defaults as I go. Does anyone have any idea why orastat wouldn't work? I've relinked it using the makefile too, to no avail. Also, does anyone know who I should call at Oracle to find out why this doesn't work? I've been handed this package to install. Looks easy enough, but geesh, I wish it'd work! Thanks for any information. Brad Clements Network Engineer Clarkson University

Although the IPC utilities were on the system (for over a year) for some reason they were not configured into /etc/system. So the kernel routines did not exist. I should have realized this first thing. Brad Clements Network Engineer Clarkson University
