[comp.databases] Looking for SQL/Quel Natural Language processor...

Hello,

I'm looking for a public domain natural language interpreter for
database systems. That is, a tool that will parse an english sentance
and, given knowledge of the underlying database, generate the
appropriate SQL or Quel statement. Ideally, one that works on top of
Ingres, but I think porting from another db to Ingres would not be too
difficult.  I already have information from the following vendors:

      AI Corporation
      Dynamics Research w/ "SPOCK"
      Microrim w/ "CLOUT"
      Natural Language Inc.

I have seen a demo of the Natural Language product, which seems quite
comprehensive but it's about 25K per installation.  I would also be
interested in hearing about any research you are doing in this area - I
have an application which can use this technology.
