Me again. Look, when I brought up the subject of Dbase IV, I was looking for help with a couple of minor problems I was having. I wasn't even sure it was really bugs, as the ps2/60's I was running on have been a little tempermental of late anyway. I wanted help for DBIV, not advice to switch to a program that in my opinion was inferior to DBIV. Now I know I have been a little guilty of pushing this little contest along, but with the exception of Alaistair at A-T, no one has even touched the subject of my POSSIBLE bugs. Of course you all don't mind using the "RE:DBASE IV BUG(S)" subject to push your products. It seemed to me that very few, if any, who responed to my problem (without useful advice i might add..) appears to even have used it. Why don't you guys find another subject to use, such as DBASE VS FOX or some such other title. I am sure that some other DBIV users read this stuff, and are most likely as disapointed as my self at the lack of information found. Once again, I state my problems. 1) Dbase does not erase its temporary files after use. I currently get around this problem with a batch file. 2 ) Labels tend to lock up on me, unless data is on both the first and last line of the label. The problem could only be a poor copy of the software that was sent. That is what I want to know. By the way, if everyone is so hot to prove foxbase is better than DBIV, how come nobody mentioned it in an attention getting headline before now? Ken Sellards Marshall University
