[comp.databases] foxbase private all ?

Does anyone out there know exactly how expensive the foxbase+ or
dbase III+ command "private all" is ??  I like using this command
because global variables just don't set well with me.  Anyway I
was just wondering if the use of this command in many procedures will
slow execution of a program.
