[comp.databases] Good books on database design and/or theory

rleroux1@uvicctr.UVic.ca.UUCP (Roger Leroux) (07/27/89)

Hello,

I have the intention, once I graduate, to work in the data processing
field, but my university's CS program is broad in scope. Hence, out of
the n courses I'll be taking, only about three are related to database
systems and analysis. (n being <= 30, depending on how many of the non
required CS courses I decide I'm interested in taking).

What I was hoping to get from fellow net.databasers are some
suggestions and recommedations for good books on the subject. The
level of the material can be of any level; what I don't understand
now I will get to later after finding some less complex examples.

 Thanks in advance.

 Roger
