[comp.databases] 4gl hptoday users

bene@tubkom.UUCP (Benedikt Homann) (07/29/89)

Hi there,

does anybody use the 4gl HPtoday and/or HPSQL?

Would be nice to exchange opinions and spaghetti-flames and love stories
about them, for example how to use the S-files the right way.

Greetings,
					bene.

Greetings from sunny Australia, the home of HPToday (now called HP ALLBASE/4GL).

The Marketing Department of the Australian Software Operation is interested
in getting details and in providing information to interested users of
our products. As an operational part of Hewlett-Packard, we have all
the resources available to provide answers to all sorts of questions
or we can direct people to the correct information sources.

As observers of this notes group we would be happy to encourage the exchange
of ideas, questions, answers and comments and where appropriate would like
to respond to any issues which are not able to be resolved.

We use HPtoday (ALLBASE/4GL) extensively.
We have developed and deployed six large HPtoday applications to
automate departments in our laboratory; two more are "in the works".
We love it!
