Has anyone any experience with translators or other tools that allow INGRES applications to run transparently under RDB? I don't know details, but I've heard such tools exist. I suspect that the tools are used at both compile and link time, first to resolve references, and second to link to translator code. I'm not only interested in the names of the tools, but also how well they perform (that's all I need is another software layer. Egads!) and how much they cost. I'm interested in these tools mainly to save $$$, but it seems as though they would require less sys$disk space since they use existing RDB code.
