We are running a large C application using a large Oracle database. The database has almost 500 tables about 250 of which are accessed by this application program. We recently started getting an Oracle error -3106 on a few embedded SELECT commands. The error manual indicates indicates "fatal two-task communication protocal error" and says to contact Oracle customer support. So far Oracle customer support has not been of help, and with the earthquake we do not expect to hear much from them soon. The error while occuring in the same places seems to be random in that the tables which it strikes occur early and late in running the application, also many SELECTS are successfully processed in between the ones that fail. Anyone seen this before. We are running Unix on a SUN OS version 3.5 Any ideas or suggestions? E-mail is fine for responces Mark Kornfein kornfein@crd.ge.com
