We've been trying to upgrade to Ingres 6.2 from Ingres 5.0 and are having a hell of a time. We are running VMS 5.1 on a microVAX that is not clustered and we are not using ingres/star. The startup script has trouble finding things, including the log file (it's confused about the node extension on the name) We are also having problems with something called GCC -- what is this and do we need it if we are not a cluster or STARred?? Anybody with experience with the upgrade, ingres 6.x or any ideas we would welcome advice or help.
