I am currently looking into various mechanisms for binding Ada to SQL - embedded SQL (e.g., ProAda); a modular approach (e.g., Sybase), etc. I recently attended a meeting where the product "AdaSAGE" was introduced as an alternative. It was never really defined - it is NOT SQL, it is NOT relational, etc. The product is touted as an alternative to the Ada/SQL binding because it is written in Ada and offers database management services "without the problems associated with commercial SQL-based packages." Does anyone have any information on AdaSAGE? Descriptions and experiences using it are welcome. I will post a summary to the net if there are enough responses. Thanks. In comp.databases article 2542 Michael Samuels asks for information about a product called ADASage which offers data management services for ADA programs "without the problems associated with commercial SQL-based packages." I'm very interested in hearing about just what those problems are for ADA. I suppose I'm also interested in hearing how this product addresses them if it can be said in reasonably concrete terms which make sense to programmers.
