We have a customer who is considering converting an application from ACCELL/IDS (1.4) to ACCELL/SQL. Unify indicates that the minimum recommended configuration to run ACCELL/SQL is 8MB of RAM. The question is: given the same application ported from IDS to SQL, what are the numbers of users that can run on the same system for each version? If the recommended configuration is any indication, it would seem to imply that a system (say a 386 running SCO XENIX with 8MB) that supported 4-8 users on IDS would only support 2 or 3 users on SQL. Has anyone done any port benchmarks of this type? What results? -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ : Steven List @ Transact Software, Inc. :^>~ : : Chairman, Unify User Group of Northern California : : {apple,coherent,limbo,mips,pyramid,ubvax}!itkin@guinan.Transact.COM :
