Dear Net, I am an inexperienced database user having problems with UNIFY 4.0 on a Motorola 8000 UNIX box. I have two tasks running on the same database, one deleting records and one adding records and I find that the B-TREE index for the database tends to become corrupted. I am using the C library of function calls to do the add and delete operations and have experimented with the UNIFY file-locking functions without success. I was under the impression that UNIFY would support this behaviour without the necessity for file or record locking. The documentation I have is inadequate and my support channel is ponderous. Has anyone had a similar problem ? Does anyone have any thoughts about UNIFY ? Thanks in advance...
