I am trying to put together an NCR Tower configuration to use with Oracle 6. The system would cater for 3-6 users and would be a 32/650 running NCR Unix release 3. My initial thoughts would be for two disk drives, probably both 380 MB and 8 MB of memory. Is anyone doing anthing similar with Oracle and Towers ? What configuration do you have ? (Send mail direct if you like. If I get any responses I'll summarise.) That configuration sounds MORE than adequate to me (depending on the physical size of your databse, of course). One of my clients runs version five on a Tower and originally had a configuration very similar except it was a 32/600; everything ran fine. Version 6 loves memory, though, so I'd add there first, if anywhere. Bron Bron@cup.portal.com portal!cup.portal.com!Bron Modern Office Systems Technology, Inc. 6006-B Mech.
